Whether you are an experienced yogi or have never taken a yoga class, you are welcome here! Yoga is the union of mind, body and spirit and is open to all. If you would like to gain greater strength and flexibility, are in search of physical or emotional healing, or are on a quest for a deeper understanding of life and yourself, yoga might be just the practice to add to your life. Yoga postures, alignment, breathing techniques, and paths to relaxation will be explored.
Julie Porter is the instructor. Classes are usually held in the Huntley Room. Monday evenings 7:30-8:45 and Tuesday mornings 9:15-10:30. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one. Modifications and props will be provided.
Register with Julie for a series of classes or contact her about dropping in for a class or two. Drop-in rate for class is $13. Second Monday, Noon
The Alliance meets at September through May for lunch and conversation, a business meeting and program. All the women of First Parish, members and friends, are welcome to attend Alliance meetings and events.
The Women’s Alliance is the oldest organized group of First Parish. Its primary focus remains the support of First Parish including financial support of First Parish activities, special benevolent projects and a meeting place of support and friendship for the women of First Parish. The Alliance participates in Pies on the Common, holds a Holiday boutique and host special seasonal luncheons.

Sacred Circle Dancing
Spiritually focused folk dancing in the round. Meets monthly Sunday evenings at 6pm. No partner, experience or RSVP required. All dances taught; some live music. A free will donation of $5-$10 to help defray First Parish expenses will be appreciated. For more information, contact Walter Barker at 508-757-4445. Spirituality Book Group
Monthly on Tuesday at 7:15pm
This adult group meets in the Memorial Room to discuss spirituality books, such as The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know is Possible, by Charles Eisenstein. Monthly on Tuesday at 7:15pm
This group meets monthly for discussion and exploration of women’s spirituality. All First Parish women are welcome. Each month, a different member of the group gives a presentation, speaks about a particular passion or offers a crafting event. For more information contact Marianne Orlando. First Wednesday at 7 pm

Wednesday Evening Meditation and Dharma
Wednesdays at 7pm
Seated meditation from 7-7:30 in the Memorial Room, followed by a reading or audio recording and discussion on meditation, lovingkindness, leading to a peaceful mind and gentle heart. Drawing from the works of Jack Kornfield, Pema Chodron, Thich Nhat Hanh and others. No reservations or fee required. Your donation supports both the program and First Parish in Framingham. This program may go on hiatus January through March, returning in April.
Coffee and Muffins
Thursdays at 8:30am
All adult members, friends and guests are welcome to join the gathering in the Huntley Room on Thursday mornings.The group is intentionally unstructured and informal. Its sole purpose is for attendees to get to know each other better, and discuss any topic that comes up. There is no agenda and no sign up required. People are invited to attend whenever they choose and may leave early.The group asks only for a voluntary donation for the coffee and muffins that are served. Everyone is welcome to give it a try.
Thursdays at 7:30pm
Meet in the Memorial Room for short, silent sitting followed by a dvd presentation of Eckhart Tolle talk. Donations welcome to support the program and First Parish in Framingham.
