Shabbat for the Earth

The Worship & Arts Council welcomes Rabbi Katy Allen to the pulpit this Sunday. Rabbi Allen will speak about our human place in the natural world, our relationship to it, its sacred nature and the spirituality of engaging in sustainable practices.
Rabbi Allen founded the One Earth Collaborative, a project of Open Spirit in Framingham, where she engages with the community as a nature chaplain. She is also the founder and spiritual leader of Ma’yan Tikvah, an independent congregation that offers alternative ways of encountering Judaism, including OUTDOOR Shabbat services, all year long. She is founder and president of the Boston-area Jewish Climate Action Network, and member of the advisory boards of the Jewish Vegetarians of North America and Shomrei Bereshit: Rabbis and Cantors for the Earth.
