Deep listening – listening with our heart and soul – is a profound act of love. Stopping and listening, really listening, to others and ourselves opens paths to liberation and transformation. But too often, as Simon and Garfunkel put it, people “hear without listening”. So, this Sunday, let’s think about how we, our relationships, and our world might be different if we just shut up and listened for a change. Perhaps through effective listening, we can effect real change.
