Thoughts and Prayers

These words used to convey kindness, concern, sorrow. Too often now they are received as an excuse for inaction, especially when they come to us in the voice of a politician. This sermon explores the deeper meaning of these words and how we offer thoughts and prayers that matter.

The recording includes the prelude, played by Toby Hansen, Amber Glowing ( composed by Robert Vandall), Claudia Keyian and Tad Hitchcock singing “I’ll FLy Away” by Allison Krauss, and “Simple Faith” by David Tamulevich, followed by a reading from Help, Thanks Wow! by Anne LaMotte and the sermon by Rev. Dr. Tracey Robinson-Harris, “Thoughts and Prayers.”
