Music is a vital part of worship here at First Parish. There are many ways to get involved. Join the choir or the bell choir, or play an instrument. We strive to have an eclectic assortment of musical genres at Sunday morning worship.

The First Parish Choir

Led by Music Director, Dean Arvidson, the choir rehearses from 7-8:30 on Wednesday evenings. The group typically sings in 4-part harmony; occasionally eight parts. We sing music of varying styles, work hard and have fun too! The choir sings during regular worship services three times a month, and also participates in the later Christmas Eve service.

The Handbell Choir

Led by Dean Arvidson, this choir performs the third Sunday on the month during regular services, and for special occasions, such as Christmas Eve. Rehearsals are Monday evening 7-8:30pm, year-round. No prior experience is necessary.

Musicians

Musical members and friends of First Parish, students and adults are invited to share their talents in Sunday worship. Dean Arvidson is available to serve as an accompanist.
